Calculating planetary altitude for Local space maps
hi
i thought astro.com showed planetary altitude but its not the same as latitude as you can see from what somebody told me below. Do you know how to calculate it? Michael Erlewine talks about it in Local spac maps book in the link

"your planets are at around 0N or S in ecliptic latitude. I think the attribute you are seeking is "altitude" which is not present in the table you show.

Not that ignoring ecliptic latitude is the way to go, I have seen a dramatic example(life threateningly bad teeth, and either some serious karma to work out, or a bad case of the stupids) with Saturn at 0 of ecliptic latitude. Which is Saturn's Node. Significant because it is not approximately 0N or S, but actually 0-00: Saturn conjunct Saturn's ascending node. But I digress...
The horizon circle is the 3d version of the Asc-Dec line. Mostly planets will be conjunct the Asc or Des if they are on the horizon because the ecliptic latitude is always a small number. Pluto would be an exception because it's orbit is inclined to the ecliptic plane; a flat chart could show Pluto in the middle of the 1st house away from the Asc, while in realilty is on the horizon line or even mundanely in the 12th house.
